What is Islam?
The word "Islam" means "submission." The word "Muslim" means "one who submits." This is full and complete submission specifically to the one and only creator of the universe: Allah (God). Islam is the first and the same religion that God revealed through all of the Prophets to every people, starting with Prophet Adam (pbuh). Islam became complete when God sent the final message to mankind (the holy Qur'an) through Angel Gabriel to the last and final prophet, Muhammad (SAW). The Qur'an reconfirms and completes the eternal message and also covers events that occurred in the past.

Who is Allah?
Allah (God) is the only deity worthy of worship. Allah is the one and only creator of the universe, including the heavens and the earth and all that they contain. Allah is the all-seeing, the all-hearing, the all-knowing, the all-wise, etc. Allah has no beginning nor end. Allah is the supreme being who has power over all things. Allah has no parents, no children, and no partners at all. Allah does not need anyone or anything. Allah is the One and Only, and there is no one that is comparable to Allah.

Note:
(pbuh) = peace be upon him
(SAW) = may Allah honor him and grant him peace
